On the track, she's electrifying. Off the track, she's committed to making real change in the lives of others.
That's why we're thrilled to welcome Gabby Thomas to the RIDC Board as we shape our next 5-year strategic plan. Her leadership, perspective, and passion will help strengthen our efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive running industry.

What Gabby Thomas Brings to the RIDC
Work in public health and racial disparities: With advanced academic credentials in neurobiology and public health, Gabby brings deep subject-matter knowledge that will help guide RIDC’s research, programming, and strategic planning initiatives.
Advocate for representation & social inclusion: At SXSW this year, Gabby joined other Olympians to discuss women’s sports, championing equal pay, inclusion, and inspiring young girls, aligning with our organizational goals around diversity and empowerment.
Leadership with compassion and work ethic: Gabby emphasizes “discipline, kindness, and passion,” crediting mentors who modeled leading with both dedication and compassion, traits that will help enhance RIDC’s leadership culture.
