Haraka Run and Walk’s First Wednesday Walk!

Our RUN THE BLOCK grant recipients, Carol and Jesse Holland, are on their way to the grand opening of their retail running store, Haraka Run and Walk! As part of their journey, the two have started a new community event!

Community members laced up their sneakers and gathered for the very first Haraka Wednesday Weekly Walk. This event marked the beginning of a new weekly tradition celebrating wellness, movement, and neighborhood connection. Attendees came together to walk, talk, and enjoy the rhythm of their steps. There were giveaways, fun surprises, and a strong sense of community spirit in the air.

More than just a retail space, Haraka Run and Walk is shaping up to be a cultural hub where movement meets community and everyone belongs. Check out photos from the event below!
