Navigating Racial Justice and DEI Conversations During the Holidays with the RIDC

Have you ever found yourself in a situation during the holiday season, gathered around the table with family and friends, where a debate about racial justice and equity emerges? These moments can often create internal stress as we grapple with the challenge of addressing harmful ideas or actions while simultaneously wanting to maintain our sense of peace and avoid escalating tensions in already complex relationships.

We are here to offer guidance for navigating these challenging moments- but we need to hear from you first. Please feel free to share an experience you have had with this, or a questions you may have about how to handle these situations, such as when and how to speak up, and strategies for moving forward constructively.

Your questions will be presented to our panel, which includes RIDC Board Members, during a pre-recorded workshop. If you share a story, we will not share your name or any personal details, we will use it only to inspire our questions for the panel and our advice on how to move forward. Your input is valuable in helping us provide meaningful guidance.

*Please keep in mind that we will address questions based on time availability and relevance, at the discretion of the panel and RIDC staff.
