This year marks a powerful milestone as the industry celebrates five years of the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC). We can’t wait to celebrate with you during TRE at THE COOKOUT.

What began as a simple idea — a space where BIPOC voices and joy are at the center — has evolved into an annual community celebration that brings us all together. In our first year, over 300 people RSVPed. By our second year, we doubled that number with more than 700 RSVPs, showing just how much this space means to our community and the industry. THE COOKOUT is our time to celebrate our differences and recognize the power of our collective work to make the running space better for everyone.

As we mark five years of operating, we are not slowing down. This event honors how far we have come, reconnects us to the joy that sustains us, and recommits us to the work ahead so we can keep building for the next five years and beyond.

Expect the same great energy: food, music, dancing, networking, and a community that knows how to show up. This is for the people we do the work for and the ones doing the work with us. Let’s move forward with purpose together.
